7 channel audio select controller

7 channel audio select controller

I’m separating the controller for the 7 channel audio selector as it’s own build… since it has issues of it’s own to note.

It’s using (from pc to micro logical view) a usb-to-serial converter and pic microcontroller. Also on the pc side is the interface app.

The usb-to-serial converter is a module from DLP design, which uses the FTDI’s FT232BM ic. This …..

(the modeling shot)

Basically, an idea is to allows up to 7 devices, in this case (inputs or outputs, don’t matter), to be plugged in and to have them criss-cross connected across ‘busses’, to route the audio signal inputs to desired outputs. The goal is to have a remote, pc, or manual over-ride controlled source/destination bussed audio selector matrix.

Say, you have …..

I finally got around to trying to see how the thing would go along. I needed to figure out how to mount the leds, to shine into the piramid spikes.

The ‘structure’, or as I’ll refere to it as ‘the orb’, is intended to hold a candle on the inside, and provide illumination.

Ofcourse, I like electronics, and LEDs, so when …..
